Chapter 3 [[Year 7]]
Marc-Andre’s POV
It was 9:45 at night, fifteen minutes past my bedtime. I couldn’t help feel a little bit guilty, my mom trusted me to go to bed on time. At exactly 9:50, I pulled the curtains aside to reveal my large window. It stretched across at least a couple feet and luckily Veronique’s did the same. {{Kinda like the window’s in You Belong With Me music video}}. I got out my flashlight and saw she was in front of her window too. I blinked the flashlight on and off twice. We had grown to get a code, two flashes means it’s a yes, but one flash means a no. We’ve also come up with a lot of different codes too. She looked behind her at her away before flashing her flashlight twice. I gave her a thumbs up before quietly leaving my room and walking down the hallway. I slipped past my dad was up with my little sister, Marylene, and snuck out the back door. I grabbed my hockey bag and met in Veronique’s back yard.
“This is crazy Marc!” She hissed rubbing her arms.
I gave her a look, “You want me to get into the NHL, right?” I asked her impatiently.
She rolled her eyes. “Of course I do Marc-Andre.”
I flashed her a smile. “Then let’s go!” We started running through the yards of our neighbors until we got next to the park’s roller hockey rink. Since they kept it locked at night, we had to jump over it. Veronique gave me a leg up, since I’m shorter. Wait, no! A girl is definitely not taller then me..it’s just her hair adds half an inch. I mean guys are supposed to be taller then girls..
She started climbing the fence until she lost her balance and fell the last foot, landing next to me.
Veronique’s POV
My knee hurt so bad, it was scraped and I could see the blood.
“Veronique!Veronique! Are you okay?” I heard Marc ask panicky.
“I’m um fine, just a band-aide please?” I knew Marc-Andre always kept band-aides in his pocket. It was a bit creepy, but I’ll go with it.
“Okay, do you want Scooby-Doo, Tweety Bird, or a Barbie band-aide?” He asked pulling out the different band-aides.
“Umm, why do you have a Barbie band-aide?” I asked a bit creeped out.
He blushed and shoved his hands in his pockets. “I know they’re you’re favorites.”
“Merci.” I said joyfully before slapping it on my knee. He pulled me up. “Ready Teddy?”
“Roger that.” I told him before he handed me his old hockey stick, and he put on his helmet and crouched in front of the goal.
“Okay, so shoot as hard as you can.” He told me excitedly. I winded up trying to do a slapshot, but I totally missed and it flew off the boards somewhere.

ReplyDeleteThis is so ridiculously adorable I almost can't stand it. You must have little brothers and sisters because you capture those young'uns so well!
Actually, I have three older brothers xD. But you know, I'm a kid at heart anyway, and writing them this young has made it so hard haha.
ReplyDeleteIts cute that Marc carries around bandaids.
ReplyDeleteYou may never know when you need them.
Great update!
Aw, they're so cute.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for more.
