Sorry for the really short chapter, but my brothers are yelling at me for typing and that they want me to "shut the fuck up so we can sleep." I'll post part 2 of this tomorrow sometime. And I just wanted to say, I LOVE YOU GUYS. Seriously, I wouldn't be updating without you. It's pretty pathetic, but I get SO excited when I see there's a comment and I get all happy. I basically jump around the room :]. Have a wonderful night! {{P.S. Do you know how to change the time to eastern time on blogger?}}
Chapter 5 [[Year 8]]
Veronique’s POV
Part 1
I tucked my new hair behind my ears and sat down at the coloring table, picking up a couple new crayons.
Marc sat down next to me. “New hair cut, eh?” He asked me grinning.
I rolled my eyes. “Obviously Marc-Andre, obviously.”
“Sheesh Veronique, I was just trying to be nice. I like it short.” He said ruffling it.
“Hmm I don’t really like it because it gets in my eyes too much. And don’t call me Veronique, it makes me sound too serious. Call me Vero please.” I said proudly.
He stared at me. “Okaay.” He said before picking up a crayon and starting to color. Cori, Ted, and Ramsey, boys in our class, came up and sat at the table next to us.
“Now you look like a boy Ve-RON-ique!” Cori sneered before tugging on my hair.
“It’s Vero now.” I mumbled before looking at my shoes. These boys were always teasing me for liking pink and make up as much as I did.
“Marc-Andre, come play kickball with us before you get effected by her cooties!” Ted yelled.
“Yeah, you don’t want to hang out with her. She’ll give you another make over and she’s a freak!” Ramsey exclaimed.
I expected Marc-Andre to go and play kickball with them, that’s what he normally did when they made fun of him for hanging out with me.
Instead, this time he said angrily, “Leave Vero alone! She doesn’t look like a boy and liking make up is okay! Besides, sticks and stones may hurt my bones, but words will never hurt us!”
They rolled their eyes at him before running to go to the playground. I looked at Marc, “Merci.” I whispered.
He grinned at me before handing it a piece of paper. It was a stick figure with short brown hair. On top of it he scribbled “Vero.”
I smiled at him. “You’re really my best friend.”
“Ewww don’t go all mushy on me. Now let’s go on the monkey bars!”
RE: time. It's under settings, then under formatting. I know because I had to change it, too. Annoying.
ReplyDeleteFlower power! Love that he stuck up for Vero. I'm looking forward to part 2! (stupid brothers!)
Aw. Marc is such a great guy sticking up for her like that.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for part two.
